This week, we have been talking about the different kinds of past tense in English.
Today, students used what they learned on Monday and Tuesday to make a news show. First, they did research for their topic on the New York Times website. Then they met in groups to discuss each topic and write and edit a script. While editing the script, students paid extra attention to the following things:
1. Using articles with nouns
2. Verb tense (correctly using the past continuous, past perfect, and past simple)
3. Subject-verb agreement
When they finished editing, each group presented their news show. All of the anchors and reporters did a great job. Here are the shows from Class 1-2!
